The 2008 Whitehawk Antique Shows will be held at
El Museo Cultural de Santa Fe, located at 1615 Paseo de Peralta
(just west of Guadalupe on Paseo at the railroad tracks).

"El Museo is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, protecting and promoting the Hispano art, culture and traditions of Northern New Mexico. El Museo is located in the heart of the Santa Fe Railyard property in a warehouse facility that houses its galleries, exhibition spaces and theater. El Museo promotes the rediscovery and renewed knowledge of the language, history, literature, and cultural and family traditions that distinguish the Hispanic segment of the population," (from the El Museo Cultural de Santa Fe Catalog).

We are grateful to the board of El Museo for allowing us to use their facility as our temporary location during construction of the new Sweeney Civic Center.

The design submitted for the new Sweeney Civic Center by the architectural firms of Spears and Fentress/ Bradburn was selected for the $51 million project. The design provides a 20,000 sq. ft. main exhibit hall with a large reception area on the main floor as well as breakout rooms and covered portals on the upper level. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2008.

PARKING

UNDERGROUND PARKING FACILITY AT THE RAILYARD:

Great news!!  The long-awaited underground parking facility in the railyard, located next to El Museo, is open for business! Parking will be charged at a flat rate of $5.00 per day (no in/out privileges).  It's convenient and right next door to El Museo.

 ART VAN GO:

As in the past, Whitehawk will continue to support a private shuttle service called Art Van Go. Art Van Go offers free shuttle service between any Santa Fe hotel, gallery or restaurant & El Museo. Your hotel concierge, gallery or restaurant staff can arrange your ride on the Art Van Go shuttle. This service works really well and I would encourage you to give it a try. The Whitehawk front desk staff will be happy to call the Art Van Go when you are ready to return to your hotel or car (again, at no charge). OTHER PARKING OPTIONS:

Metered street parking is available on both Guadalupe Street and Paseo de Peralta bordering El Muso.
