The 2008 Whitehawk Antique Shows will be held at
El Museo Cultural de Santa Fe, located at 1615 Paseo de Peralta
(just west of Guadalupe on Paseo at the railroad tracks).

"El Museo is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, protecting and promoting the Hispano art, culture and traditions of Northern New Mexico. El Museo is located in the heart of the Santa Fe Railyard property in a warehouse facility that houses its galleries, exhibition spaces and theater. El Museo promotes the rediscovery and renewed knowledge of the language, history, literature, and cultural and family traditions that distinguish the Hispanic segment of the population," (from the El Museo Cultural de Santa Fe Catalog).

We are grateful to the board of El Museo for allowing us to use their facility as our temporary location during construction of the new Sweeney Civic Center.

The design submitted for the new Sweeney Civic Center by the architectural firms of Spears and Fentress/ Bradburn was selected for the $51 million project. The design provides a 20,000 sq. ft. main exhibit hall with a large reception area on the main floor as well as breakout rooms and covered portals on the upper level. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2008.

PARKING

A significant change this year is that parking will be available off-site with shuttles provided in addition to the parking lot in front of El Museo.  Parking in downtown Santa Fe always presents a challenge, but this year it could be more convenient for those who take advantage of the options below:

 ART VAN GO:

Whitehawk is one of the sponsors of a private shuttle service called Art Van Go. Art Van Go will offer free shuttle service between any Santa Fe hotel, gallery or restaurant & El Museo. Your hotel concierge, gallery or restaurant staff can arrange your ride on the Art Van Go. This service works really well and I would encourage you to give it a try. The Whitehawk front desk staff (Ted, Carrie, Jon, Lisa, Laura, et al) will be happy to call the Art Van Go when you are ready to return to your hotel or car (again, at no charge). THE CITY OF SANTA FE
PUBLIC PARKING LOTS:

There are several parking lots in the downtown area - see the map on this page; the most convenient lot, the Sandoval Parking Garage, is located across from the Hilton Hotel with the entrance on W. San Francisco St.  A portion of the Sandoval Parking Garage (100 spaces) will be reserved for El Museo patrons, and shuttles will be available "on demand". Just alert the parking lot attendant and they will call the shuttle for you.   The city lots will be charging a flat fee to park and the shuttle is available at no charge.

METER PARKING ON
GUADALUPE & MANHATTAN STREETS:

30 parking meters will also be available for our show attendees on Guadalupe & Manhattan Streets (just behind El Museo).  The parking attendant at the gate of El Museo can give you a pass for your dashboard and directions to these meters which will be covered with red hoods.  There's no charge to park at these meters and it's a very short walk to El Museo from these meters.
